Hey everyone,
I’m curious as to what salary increases are like in Australia at the moment. I’ve been working at Amazon for 5 years and only got a 3% salary increase this year which is less than usual. This feels very low given cost of living and inflation.
what company do you work at and what was your increase?

Was that across the board the same for everyone? Is it based on performance?
It was different for each individual at Amazon.
my direct reports got higher rates and India-based staff got much higher rates.
It depends on the individual. A lot of people got made redundant as well. I think they had to let some ppl go in order to increase pay for some staff
Redundancies have been happening everywhere. What area impacted at ANZ?
it was in the news. search anz on afr last 6 months. iirc, a number of roles in risk
2-3% at adobe but they leant in on bonuses
